Background. The research subject is a phenomenon of the beautiful and its upbringing in a person. The addressing to the present notion of reality is caused by a deficiency of people with esthetic senses in the modern socium.
Materials and methods. The methodology of understanding the mentioned subject includes idealistic conceptions about the world as realia filled with beauty (antique philosophy), phenomenological and substrate reflection. By virtue of the latter the subject holds its inner harmony and intentional nature.
Results. The beautiful is interpreted as expression of general universal ontology in human mentality (the beautiful as the initial, as the immanent to mentality; the beautiful as the striving for perfection). The beautiful is described through categories of reflection, perfection, ideal, admiration, return (to oneself) and beautiful definiteness. The upbringing of the beautiful is interpreted on the basis of pedagogical intervention (revelation and maintenance of the beautiful in human spirituality). The finding may be used in the theory and practice of education in the Russian school.
Conclusions. The article concludes about an expediency of understanding the beautiful in people as universal realia and its (the beautiful) upbringing on the basis of pedagogical intervention at secondary schools.
